Well, that was four knocks in quick succession. Hence, he knocks four times. What's it got to do with the Master? Wait...she said "he is returning through the dark." That's more relevant. Here's the video btw.

The sound of the drums went "dum-dum-dum-dum". Four beats. That connects to "Four knocks".
Of course it could all be a red herring. We know the Master will arrive at some point in the specials, but it's a possibility that he will not be the big bad that culminates in the Doctor's death and regeneration.

David Tennant and Julie Gardener have actually admitted that noone could possibly know the meaning of that prophecy yet, but if they do work it out, they will cry all day.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Christmas_specials_(Doctor_Who)David Tennant: Really, from this moment on, the Doctor's card is marked. Because when we come back in "The Waters of Mars", it's all become a little bit darker" Julie Gardner: And as we know, David, he really does knock four times. Tennant: Yeah, absolutely, and if you think you've figured out what that means, you're wrong! Gardner: But when you do figure it out, it's a sad day." Ok, Red herring then.

Just saying, there was no need to link it really.

Well, you didn't actually provide any backup for what you were saying. I went looking, and found it. You paraphrased, I quoted.

Well, I have no reason to lie.

I know, but that's not my point, it's the fact that, if people know what they said word-for-word, then they have a better ability to make their own assessment of it.

I wonder what the hell they are referring to.

David Tennant and Julie Gardener have actually admitted that noone could possibly know the meaning of that prophecy yet, but if they do work it out, they will cry all day. Could have been "The Wars of the Master" thing you mentioned. Seriously, how the hell did you get the time to work that out?

I didn't work it out myself. Is that why you called me a Doctor Who nerd? I found that out on various sites.

It seems pretty obvious once you see it though, dosnt it?

That's why I think it might be a red herring: seems too obvious. After all, remember Torchwood (anagram of "Doctor Who")? That was quite hard. This seems too easy.

Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who? How do people notice this stuff?
|
|
|
Post by AC on Sept 7, 2009 20:49:56 GMT 1
Well, most weird words are generally anagrams of something, and many fans pick up on them.
I don't think it's that they spend a lot of time on them, it's just that some people are very good at anagrams.

Gremlin: "I am not a sheep. If you are not a sheep, copy and paste this to your profile!"
I don't think you quite got that joke...

Can you explain it then please.

|

Post by AC on Sept 8, 2009 19:06:52 GMT 1
It's a mockery of all those Copy-and-paste messages that bounce around. For example, I saw an ff.net account with about fifty of them! And the joke is that sheep follow, so if you do what a copy-and-paste thing tells you, then you are following it, like a sheep!
