A week or two ago i applied for a voluntary position at Slapton Sands, [4 miles along the road from me, its a beach and large nature reserve] just for the summer months and unpaid, but to me it would be valued experience. But due to the fact the only animal related experience i have was a week in a vets when i was at school a couple months at a birds of prey center, i didnt expect a reply!
Well Tuesday evening, after coming home from seeing my uncle i checked the phone to see if there were any messages, none....but i guessed as applications shut on the 8th, only last friday i thought its best giving them a week to get back to me, i checked my email and saw a reply from the center...
They've invited me in for an 'Informal Discussion' Monday at 11:30am XD
So fingers crossed for me, im willing to give up all my days off work for this place, have no days off for 3 months for this position! So if i get it...i wouldnt be online for half the week as i'd stay down there when im working! XD haha
The job im going for is 'Volunteer Beach Warden' and this is what the job is about....
