" Saturdays, 9pm, BBC One[/u] It's 2007 and there's a new Dr Jekyll with an old problem... Mr Hyde. James Nesbitt, Gina Bellman and Michelle Ryan star in this contemporary cutting-edge horror." Does anybody else watch this? It's quite gory, and creepy. Still, its quite a good show - its been going for a couple of weeks now, and the next episode has just started now. I watched the first episode, and that was quite scary. Haven't had chance to watch the rest though.

Ahh, Jekyll....I taped episode one (haven't watched that yet), watched episode two (loved it!!) and taped episode three (also not watched yet). I've a lot of watching to catch up on, eh?
I was a bit lost at the beginning of ep 2 (in the house, with the lady doctor/scientist) then I thought, forget it, enjoy the show and worry about the details later. I kinda picked up most of the details of what was going on and though its creepy and a little gory, its not...well, its not scary in the way that I hate being scared (i.e. trapped in buildings being chased by someone with a honking great pig-sticker).
Okay, I have to admit this guilty little secret. Hyde is ace! I'm loving his devil-may-care attitude so much! It looks like he's having fun! Dodo.

I know, Hyde is cool. The bit with the lions was great. He is kind of creepy though.

Who saw the conclusion? That was great! I rather like Hyde after he sacrificed himself. And that old woman was freaky at the end! She must be a decendant of the original Hyde.

I liked the final episode, although sad to see Hyde die.
I like the idea that the two kids also have Hyde sides

Yeah... when they were in those boxes, and said that they 'swapped' or something, they must have changed into their Hyde sides. Weird. Its a shame Hyde died, I know. Throughout the series I didn't like Hyde much, but I came to like him in the end when he was trying to save his family. Then he got killed.

The show premiered on BBC America last Saturday. I haven't watched it yet, but it looks interesting. It's part of BBC America's Supernatural Saturday with Hex, Torchwood, and Doctor Who. (Torchwood season 1 and Doctor Who season 2 premieres in September.)

According to the behind the scenes documentary (I eagerly pre-ordered the DVD, received it Saturday - two days prior to release thanks to Play.com - and watched the lot over the weekend! *lol*) one of the producers had the vague idea for the story for about 11 years and tried three times to have it made in the US. The people he approached in America loved the concept but there were complications each time he tried to have the show commissioned. He returned later to the UK - can't recall the reason - and almost literally stumbled across someone who could write the script and get the show made. So it might have been an American series if not for fate intervening, eh? Then you've have seen it first, *Nick & Claudia-meant 2 be*. Hehe!
I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you get the chance - its worth sticking with if only for the outrageous bad-boy Hyde! *lol* Just kidding - though I certainly love Mr Hyde - he's insane, brutal at times and utterly entertaining! Its a really cleverly thought out show, and some of the things that seem to be completely random in the first half of the series make perfect sense when you get the whole story in the latter half. Dodo.
