As you know it came out in all cinemas in the UK last week so i'm assuming all you sci-fi fans would have seen it. Heck, i'm not a Trekie, I dislike Star Trek the series but this movie was [glow=red,2,394809890][shadow=red,left,300] TRUELY EPIC!!!!!!!!![/shadow][/glow]It is about the team before anything happens, the only characters that are in the TV series that were in the movie that would be reconisable would be that half-falcon guy, Spock and that human guy, James T. Kirk. It is about how James becomes captian and all that stuff. Of course my favourite bit was on Delta Vega and THE ATTACK OF THE LOBSTER MONSTER which is a very EPIC BEAST!!!! As for Simon Pegg, fantastic, loved his potrayal as Scotty and it was so funny hearing a very proper scottish accent coming from him, and his little cute cabbage friend ;D So discuss this epic movie here.

I think the movies are class, my favourites are The Voyage Home and The Undiscovered Country.

Not yet, but since this is a Star Trek thread we are at liberty to talk about the Star Trek franchise despite the title.

Well you should see it or hundreds of Trekies will disembowel you No they won't. The movie wasn't made to appeal specifically to star trek fans, it tries to find a balance between not scaring the fans away too much and appealing to a larger public. Given the reactions I've seen (including yours) they're doing quite a good job at it. Maybe I should go see it, being a fan of both sci-fi in general and movies with stuff like monsters and explosions and action I should fit quite nicely into the target group.

And for all you Trekies, in this film Ahora is Hot. It's not even funny she's so hot.

I'm not a Trekkie either only ever seen the odd epside of deep space nine when i was like 6 and my mother used to watch it lol BUT i have to say this is the best film i have ever seen along with speed ;D. Which is saying something because i have seen some pretty darn good films. Even my friends whom some of which cannot stand sci-fi absolutely loved it to death. It is epic and absolutely amazing piece of work - you can tell JJ Abrams (name?) the writer of lost was part of it. Also there is the added bonus of Chris Pine being an ap-so-lute hotty ;D . If they were to base a new series on this with the new cast i would actualy watch it! ;D I would recomend it to anyone as it is aswome! ;D It is everything - action, agnst, romance, humour, sci - fi (obvs : lol it is pure genius.... Am i right in thinking there is going to be another two movies? ;D

This film looks brilliant. Along with Terminator Salvation and Transformers 2.

I love Karl Urban as McCoy!!! He is truly amazing. Chris and Zach were great too. Since it's release on Bly-Ray I must have watched it five times. Truly Epic!!!
