Episode 4 is over, and it was all about Angry Birds!
So how did you rate this episode?
Was it prime Turkey meat? or was it nasty Sparrow carcass?

Another good episode. The series has been consistently good. But again I want proper big ass dinosaurs!
That is the one thing missing from this series. In the UK primeval they got us hooked with the giant beasts. Whereas this show seems to want to build up to the good stuff, and that is the reason why the rating have been abysmal in Canada, we are talking 250k only.
Its common sense, get people hooked first, spend your budget, don't pussy foot around.

I gave it a 5 because i think they could of used the terror birds better....
OK 1. The bird couldnt chase evan through the gap between trains at first, yet when chasing Dylan it got onto the train.
2. I dont think we need another copy of the UK series and this is that!
You have Evan and Dylans blossoming relationship, hello nick and claudia/jenny.
You have Ken keeping a terror bird, do we really need another Leek incident in keeping of animals? I mean come on leek says the sabre tooth died and Ken supposedly chucked it through the anomaly in the card board box, its all too familiar.
In the UK terror bird episode, the team did manage to out drive the bird, it was hard work but they did, yet this biker had probably a powerfull bike yet had no chance.
Personally i think its one of the poorer episodes, i really didnt want to start comparing to the UK series but if they are gonna make things similar, your going too!
And this episode and the beetle one are the same concept....dylan and evan trapped somewhere and mac and toby/girlfriend come to the rescue [eventually] its just, im not excited to see these episodes now, you'd think with the money thats gone into this it would be bigger and better then the original series, but for me its falling short.
I do hope the series picks up or i dont think it'll even reach series 2!

I agree with you. I dont understand why they didn't go all out with the big Dinos early on, get people hooked etc.
I also understand how with a lot of North American tv shows that are either remakes or spin offs from UK shows, that in the first season they often reuse the UK scripts updated slightly, or just downright copy things, until they get into the flow, and the writers get used to the characters, then they will write original things.
Think of The Office US version, Inbetweeners US version etc.
After they use up all the UK stolen ideas, they nearly always get better.
But like you say they are at risk of not getting to a season 2 at this rate.
The ratings are abysmal in Canada, although they are a bit more forgiving compared to the States.

I agree, should really open with a bang, more action! Its wrong really, never seen any other us versions of uk shows and if they do that then its sad. I really had high hopes for this NW series, but they are really ebbing away, whats next? Aguy from the future coming to help?!

You have to understand that this series has been made mainly for the north American Viewership who will not have seen the UK version. By my reckoning if it lasts beyond 2 x 13 episode seasons, then the 3rd season should start being more original
